The Illinois Department of Corrections is implementing a multi-phase plan to resume in-person visits as safely as possible. The number of visitors per two and a half-hour time slot are limited to ensure social distancing measures are closely followed. Phase 3, which takes effect January 31, 2022, requires proof of vaccination, an approved vaccination exemption, or a vaccination exemption under review by IDOC to enter an Illinois Department of Corrections facility. To visit Peoria Adult Transition Center, you must sign up at least seven days in advance.

Video Visitation

Video visitation hours are Sunday through Saturday 9:00a to 8:00p. All visits must begin prior to 6:00 p. Visitors should log on 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.

Facility Information

The primary mission of the Peoria Adult Transition Center is to provide supervision, sanctions, reintegration programs and service to the resident individuals in custody . Peoria ATC is committed to maximizing the ability of individuals in custody to be self-sufficient law, abiding citizens when they leave.

Peoria ATC is housed in one building in downtown Peoria. At approximately 48,000 square feet, it contains 248 beds in dorm-type rooms with 6 to 12 residents per room. The facility is located on the bus route amid restaurants, the Civic Center and several hotels, which employ the Peoria ATC residents.
