The Illinois Department of Corrections is implementing a multi-phase plan to resume in-person visits as safely as possible. The number of visitors per two and a half-hour time slot are limited to ensure social distancing measures are closely followed.
Phase 3, which takes effect January 31, 2022, requires proof of vaccination, an approved vaccination exemption, or a vaccination exemption under review by IDOC to enter an Illinois Department of Corrections facility. To visit Joliet Treatment Center, you must
sign up at least seven days in advance.
Video visitation hours are Sunday through Saturday 9:00a to 8:00p. Visitors should log on 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.

The Joliet Treatment Center will serve as a multi-disciplinary treatment facility for convicted adult male felons with severe mental illness. The adult multiple-security (including maximum-security) facility will provide treatment to high-risk, high-need inmates with a stepdown structured format to enable their return to general population. The 486-bed facility will be comprised of a treatment capacity of 422 and a minimum-security general population capacity of 64. Following renovation completion, the Joliet Treatment Center will consist of two behavior modification units, four residential treatment units and a minimum-security unit. The facility consists of a total of 20 buildings, which comprise more than 222,058 square feet. The facility sits on a 55-acre site, with 50 acres enclosed by fencing.
