    New Digital Wage Claim Form

    ​The Fair Labor Standards Division has a new smart form to help modernize the wage claim process. It can be used to file a claim for unpaid wages, vacation pay, bonuses, commissions, minimum wage, and/or overtime. The online complaint process is more effective and efficient as it guides workers to submit a complete wage claim in effort to avoid any delays in the processing of a claim.

    Lt. Gov. Sanguinetti and IDOL celebrate Labor Day

    In honor of Labor Day 2017, Lieutenant Governor Evelyn Sanguinetti joined Acting Director Joe Beyer at Becker Iron & Metal in Venice.

    Downstate IL Occupational Safety & Health Day 2018

    To promote safety in the workplace, Lieutenant Governor Evelyn Sanguinetti joined employers and employees at the 27th Annual Downstate Illinois Occupational Safety and Health (DIOSH) Day Conference. 

    "The health and safety of our workers should always be a top priority," said Lieutenant Governor Sanguinetti. "We need to balance worker safety while creating a business climate where companies like the ones at DIOSH Day can compete and flourish."

Wage Claim Form Goes Digital (Effective October 10, 2018)

The Illinois Department of Labor (IDOL) launched an online wage claim application to modernize the wage claim process. The online complaint process guides claimants through the steps to submit a complete and accurate claim. It also allows claimants to log-in and check the status of their wage claim at their convenience. In order to access the system, claimants will first need to create an Illinois Public ID account.
