Language Assistance Services
The Illinois Liquor Control Commission (ILCC) is committed to providing equitable services to all
individuals regardless of their ability to speak, read, write or understand English in accordance
with federal and state laws and requirements. It is imperative that all ILCC staff professionally
and appropriately assist LEP individuals with any questions or issues raised via written and/or oral
communication. The goal is to implement a system by which persons with limited English proficiency
can have meaningful access to ILCC services. It is the ILCC’s policy to not discriminate against
any person who is LEP. We feel that all ILCC staff must take reasonable steps to ensure that communication
between staff and the LEP community is not impaired as a result of the limited English proficiency of the
individual. Because of this, we are taking reasonable steps to inform the public of language accessible
assistance we will provide.
