Are there any electronic payment methods for business income tax?

There are three electronic options to make payments for business income tax.

  • MyTax Illinois – To use this option, you will need to login to your MyTax Illinois account. Payments for business income tax, withholding income tax, sales and use taxes, excise taxes, and gaming tax can be made using MyTax Illinois. If your account is not set up, you must activate your MyTax Illinois account by clicking on the “Sign up Now!” button.
  • Third-Party Software / Modernized e-File (MeF) through the IRS – You may send a return payment, extension payment, or estimated payment as an ACH Debit, in a single transmission with or without your return.
  • ACH Credit –  Using MyTax Illinois is the only method to submit an ACH credit request for authorization. You do not need to sign-up for a MyTax Illinois account.  At the MyTax Illinois login screen, select "Register for ACH Credit Payments" under the REGISTRATION tab. You will be contacted by the department after we process your ACH Credit authorization request. This process may take five to seven days.
