Returns and payments due December 5 are now due December 6

Illinois taxpayers have an extra day to pay any Illinois tax or file any return due on December 5, 2018.

The due date extension is the result of the December 1 Executive Order closing all federal agencies on December 5, as a mark of respect for George Herbert Walker Bush, the forty-first President of the United States.

The Department has updated the chart of the 2018 Illinois Withholding Income Tax Due Dates.
