    Nestled between Springfield’s brick-paved streets and the State Capitol, the Illinois Governor's Mansion is the third-oldest state governor's residence in the United States and the oldest gubernatorial residence in the Midwest. 

  • Visit the Mansion

     

    The Governor’s Mansion is open to free scheduled tours on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 1:45pm & 3:00pm. Exact availability will be displayed at the time of reservation.

    The Mansion is closed for tours on state holidays and during official functions.

    Please note: The Governor’s Mansion reserves the right to cancel tours at any time up to the time of the scheduled tour.

    Enjoy online versions of current and past exhibitions of fine and decorative arts presented in The People's House featuring works by centuries of artists and craftspeople from the fine State of Illinois.
