  • Road-grade metal sign
  • A letter of recognition
  • Press release to send to your local newspaper
  • Certificate signed by the Governor and the Director of Agriculture

Will the Illinois Department of Agriculture customize my farm heritage sign?

The Illinois Department of Agriculture will not put farm names on signs. However, a sign maker in your community or a friend with a "cricut" vinyl cutting machine can add your name to the sign.

Can I order more than one sign?

Yes! Signs are $50 each, so if you wish to receive more than one, simply add that amount to your check and write on your application how many signs you are ordering.

How do I get a second or replacement sign?

If you wish to order a second or replacement sign, you need to complete a recertification form, either centennial or sesquicentennial. Mail the form to the Illinois Department of Agriculture with a $50 check to receive a new sign. If you need a copy of the information we have on record for your farm, please email agr.centfarms@illinois.gov
