Governor's Cabinet on Children and Youth

Current Focus

  • About the Cabinet

    Governor Bruce Rauner established the Governor's Cabinet on Children and Youth by executive order on February 18th, 2016 and charged the Cabinet with creating a cohesive state-wide strategy to improve outcomes for children and youth.

  • Projects

    The vision ​of the Children's Cabinet is to ensure that all children and youth in Illinois are Healthy, Safe, Well-Educated and Self-Sufficient. To accomplish these goals, the Cabinet chose three projects in September 2017 which are currently being implemented.​

  • Performance

    The Children’s Cabinet adopted 42 Key Performance Indicators in September 2017. These population-level indicators will be used for longitudinal measurement of the Cabinet’s progress toward its goals​.​
