Illinois Bicycling Events

Everyday (even in winter) a bicycling-related event is happening somewhere in Illinois. On this page you will find a (partial) list of bicycling events in our State.

Visit the "Original Illinois Bike Rides" website for a comprehensive events list from League of Illinois Bicyclist board member, Mike Bentley. You can find additional events listings on The League of American Bicyclists' Cycling in Your Area page.

Curb Your Car / Bike to Work Week (Sangamon):

Every year, the Springfield-Sangamon County Regional Planning Commission teams up with several area organizations, state agencies and businesses to put out a challenge to employers in Sangamon County to encourage employees to leave their cars at home during the designated week. The commute time is a great opportunity to get exercise, save some money and reduce negative impacts on the environment.
