SPRINGFIELD - The highest scoring cultivation center applicant in District 1, Green Thumb Industries, LLC (GTI), notified the Illinois Department of Agriculture that it will not move forward with the permit.

The Department has informed the next highest scoring qualified applicant, PharmaCann, LLC, of its award in District 1. The applicant notified the Department that it intends to accept the permit and will have 15 business days to provide the required license fee of $200,000 and escrow/bond of $2 million.

The Department of Agriculture received the required fees and escrow/bond documents by the deadline from the successful applicants in all other districts where a permit was awarded. Any future cultivation center district that becomes vacant, as well as the remaining districts, will be filled pursuant to the administrative rules for the Pilot Program.
