While perhaps best known as the lead singer of 80's sensation, Twisted Sister, there is so much more to Dee Snider. Dee’s hit song-writing credits extend to many genres of music and have been covered by major artists the world over. Celine Dion’s version of “The Magic Of Christmas Day (God Bless Us Everyone) was a significant part of her multi-platinum “These Are Special Times” album. Dee continues to perform, both as a solo artist and as the front man of his band, Twisted Sister. Since starring in Rock Of Ages and recording his critically acclaimed CD Dee Does Broadway, Dee Snider’s Broadway connection has continued to grow. While currently writing a musical version of Mark Twain’s “Letters from the Earth” and producing the off-Broadway “Puppet Shakespeare” troupe, “Dee Snider’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Christmas Tale” is coming to Broadway in Chicago this fall, with plans to bring it to the Great White Way.
Dokken exploded out of the boiling hard rock/heavy metal scene in Los Angeles in the early 1980s. 1983's “Breaking the Chains” with its catchy title track, set the stage for Dokken becoming the most dominant creative and commercial force in the world of Melodic Hard Rock for the following years. Such classic albums as “Tooth and Nail”, “Under Lock and Key” and “Back for the Attack” all became Multi-Platinum selling smashes and the live “Beast from the East” went gold in Europe and Japan. Songs like "Alone Again", "Just Got Lucky", "Into the Fire", "In My Dreams", "Unchain the Night", "Dream Warriors", "Burning like a Flame" and "Heaven Sent" are still nowadays regarded among the genre’s finest.
