Parental Responsibility

The Illinois Liquor Control Commission is committed to raising awareness about the negative consequences of underage drinking. National surveys have shown that most underage access to alcohol comes from of-age family and friends. This is where social host liability can play a role in preventing underage drinking. Social host liability laws hold adults responsible for alcohol served to underage individuals (those under 21) on the adult’s property.

Recently, the Illinois Liquor Control Commission hosted a webinar on Social Host Law in Illinois.  You can access the webinar on our YouTube Channel.
