Title:Law Enforcement Certification Review Panel, Illinois
Function:The purpose of the Illinois Law Enforcement Certification Review Panel is to receieve and handle formal complaints from the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board.
Term:Initial appointments of the Governor shall be for a period of 3 years. Their successors shall be appointed in like manner for terms to expire the first Monday of June each 3 years thereafter.

Qualifications:Members serving on the Panel shall not also serve on the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board.

Composition:11 members; 3 appointed by the Governor - 1 member from statewide association representing State's Attorneys, 2 Illinois resident from communities with disproportionately high instances of interactions with law enforcement; 8 appointed by the Attorney General - 2 members from statewide association representing more than 20,000 active and retired law enforcement officers, 1 member from statewide association representing at least 200 municipal police chiefs, 1 member from statewide association representing a minimum of 75 sheriffs, 2 members from minority law enforcement association, 1 representative of victims' advocacy community, 1 resident of Illinois that is not an employee of the Illinois Attorney General
Chair:The panel shall annually elect by a simple majority vote one of its members as chairperson and one of its members as vice-chairperson.
