Title:Illinois Interagency Task Force on Homelessness
Meeting Information:

​The task force will hold meetings four times a year.

Function:The task force will collaborate to plan and develop a State plan by March 30, 2022, which will address homelessness and unnecessary institutionalization, recommend policy and resources to achieve ''functional zero" homelessness, and to submit an annual report to the Governor and General Assembly by December 1st of each year, beginning December 1, 2022, summarizing its progress on eradicating homelessness in Illinois.
Term:Appointees serve at the will of the Governor and have a term of three years. If a seat becomes vacant prior to the end of the term, the Governor will immediately appointment a sucessor to fulfill the remainder of the three-year term.

Qualifications:The Governor will appointment senior-level employees of the State of Illinois who possess qualifications relevant to preventing and ending homelessness.
Composition:The Task Force Chair, or "Chief" of the Interagency, one member acting as representative of the llinois Housing Development Authority, one member acting as representative of the Illinois Department of Human Services, one member acting as representative of the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services, one member acting as representative of the Illinois State Board of Education, one member acting as representative of the Illinois Board of Higher Education. one member acting as representative of the Illinois Community College Board. one member acting as representative of the Illinois Department of Corrections. one member acting as representative of the Illinois Department of Veterans' Affairs. one member acting as representative of the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. one member acting as representative of the Illinois Department of Public Health, one member acting as representative of the Illinois Department on Aging, one member acting as representative of the Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice, one member acting as representative of the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, with expertise on issues related to workforce development, one member acting as representative of the Illinois Department of Employment Security, one member acting as representative of the Illinois State Police, Upon recommendation by the Chair, one member each from additional State agencies may be appointed as necessary.
