The Illinois Human Rights Commission is dedicated to promoting freedom from unlawful discrimination as defined by the Illinois Human Rights Act.
Our primary responsibility is to make impartial determinations of whether there has been unlawful discrimination as defined by the Illinois Human Rights Act. We are also responsible for furnishing information to the public about the Act and the Commission.
Until further notice, all Administrative Law Section (ALS) motion calls will be conducted by telephone. Parties are not expected to appear in person. Parties are responsible for making sure the Commission has correct telephone numbers. The Commission will initiate the calls. Calls will be made in the order that cases appear on the motion call lists.
The electronic filing system is not intended to handle voluminous filings. If you wish to file a motion with the Administrative Law Section (ALS) with extensive supporting documentation, you can file the motion itself electronically (meeting any applicable deadlines), but you should send hard copies of the supporting documents to the Commission through U. S. mail.
