Introduction of students to archery as a lifetime sport
Instruction in target archery
Instruction is by IDNR trained staff and volunteers
Equipment used is one-size-fits-all modern target bow and arrows
Youth of all genders, sizes and abilities will have success
Students are taught in a totally safe, controlled environment
Archery is a short-ranged, deliberate shooting sport
Shooting is restricted to 5-10 yards
Satisfies State of Illinois learning goals and standards
Research shows that 7 out of 8 dropouts are not involved in activities in school. We have found that archery can help get all students involved and help them feel good about themselves!
